SaveUp helps you save effortlessly! Each time you use your Money4Me debit card, the transaction is “rounded up” to the nearest whole dollar, and the difference is automatically deposited to your Membership Savings account.

The round ups from your debit card purchases are accumulated and transferred daily from your Money4Me account to your Membership Savings account once transactions settle. (For example, a $3.25 debit charge would round up to $4. The difference of $0.75 goes into your Membership Savings account.)

Because saving money should work with your lifestyle—not against it. By rounding up your everyday purchases, SaveUp helps you pay yourself first even without thinking about it. It’s automatic, simple and a smart way to grow savings.

Use your Money4Me debit card for everyday purchases, such as groceries, coffee or online purchases. With each debit card transaction, we’ll round up to the nearest whole dollar and transfer the difference automatically into your Membership Savings account. It’s that easy!

SaveUp is an included feature linked to your Money4Me account. Open a Money4Me account to get started.

If you already have a KeyPoint Checking account, you can request a switch to a Money4Me account by submitting the online request form, calling our Contact Center or visiting a branch—see kpcu.com/locations.

If the Money4Me account balance is negative or if the transfer to savings would cause a negative balance in the account, SaveUp will not occur. This is to help prevent potential overdrafts. There is no need to cancel or re-enroll in SaveUp—it will automatically resume with a positive account balance.

Track your SaveUp savings on the Mobile app or Online Banking. Your total savings will be available on your account dashboard and under your Membership Savings account details. To see your daily SaveUp transfers, check your Membership Savings account balance at the end of each day.

An overdraft occurs when you do not have sufficient available funds in your KeyPoint account to cover debit card purchases, automatic payments, checks, or other payments or transfers out of your account.

You can use Online or Mobile Banking or call 888-255-3637 to determine both your actual balance and your available balance at any time.

Here are some tips to manage your checking account so you can avoid costly overdraft fees:

  • Keep track of how much money you have in your checking account by keeping your account register up-to-date. Record all checks when you write them and other transactions when you make them. And don’t forget to subtract any fees.
  • Pay special attention to your electronic transactions. Record your ATM withdrawals and fees, debit card purchases, and online payments.
  • Don’t forget about automatic bill payments you may have set up for utilities, insurance, or loan payments.
  • Keep an eye on your account balance. Remember that some checks and automatic payments may not have cleared yet.
  • Review your account statements each month. Between statements, you can see which payments have cleared and check your balance through online and mobile banking.
BackUp Courtesy Pay Privilege is at KeyPoint’s discretion and never guaranteed. You may be charged a $29 fee for each transaction initiated against insucient funds except that, on the Money4Me account only, no fee is charged for payment of ATM transactions or everyday debit card transactions that do not result in a negative account balance over $350.
