    What's your banking style?

    I love watching people’s lifestyles as it pertains to their banking activity. My teenagers love mobile banking, and it would never occur to them to visit a branch. My mother, on the other hand, prefers to do business in person. Perhaps visiting her money and talking to the people who manage it reassures her that it’s safe. Or maybe it’s just a habit lingering from the days when the only way you could access your money was at a branch.

    Thanksgiving – A Time to Give Thanks

    Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on everything that we cherish in our lives–our families, our health, our jobs, our friends, and the comfortable lives we live. The recent disaster in the Philippines reminds us of our great fortune, and encourages us to share with those in need. Although I am saddened by this terrible event, I am proud of the generosity of my KeyPoint co-workers, as we personally contributed $3,000 toward the Philippines disaster relief effort.

    49ers vs. Seahawks

    I must confess to all of you 49er fans that I am a Seahawks fan. Since I moved to the Bay Area, I have tried to keep a low profile about my loyalty. But this far into football season, with the Seahawks and 49ers running neck-and-neck toward the Super Bowl, it’s hard to keep quiet!

    We never have to choose between serving the needs of our stockholders and serving the needs of our members, because our members are our shareholders. Banks set aggressive goals for profitability, and credit unions tend to focus more on member service.
